U.K./Italy photo kiosk company Alimpix has introduced new functionality designed to make charitable giving easier and more accessible at the point of purchase. Customers using the new Photo Kiosk can now choose to make a charity donation directly from the checkout basket, providing a simple and convenient way to support a designated charity while completing their purchase. The new functionality also includes a round-up option, allowing customers to round their purchase total up to the nearest pound. The difference is then donated to the designated charity. For example, a £12.65 purchase can be rounded up to £13.00, with the additional 35p donated to the chosen charitable cause.
These new features provide organisations using Alimpix Photo Kiosks with a simple way to build charitable giving into the customer journey, while giving customers the opportunity to make a positive contribution alongside their everyday photo purchases, the company said.
“We’re pleased to introduce these new donation and round-up features to Alimpix Photo Kiosk,” said Ivan Sestan, Director at Alimpix Limited. “Our aim is to make supporting good causes as simple as possible, allowing customers to give back while enjoying their photo products and services.”
The new patent-pending and design copyrighted functionality is now available as part of the Alimpix Photo Kiosk platform.
